It Started With a Feeling.
In 2013, Les Coleman looked around Detroit and felt something was missing.
Not talent. Not hustle. Not pride. Detroit has always had those in abundance.
What was missing was a clothing brand that actually represented who Detroit people are.
Not a brand built on tourist versions of the city. Not watered-down “Motor City” nostalgia designed for people who had never set foot in the 313. Something real. Something built by Detroit, for Detroit.
So he built it.
Born in the 313.
Just Rep Detroit launched in 2013 out of Metro Detroit with one mission: give Detroit people something to wear that meant something.
Not just a shirt. Not just a logo. A statement. A badge. A way of telling the world exactly where you come from and being proud of every word of it.
The designs were bold. The message was clear. And Detroit people responded.
For years, JRD grew through the community — people who knew the brand, wore the brand, and passed it on to the next person who needed to rep where they were from. No corporate backing. No outside investors. Just Detroit people supporting something real.
313. 1701. Home of the Hustlers. Those weren’t just words printed on fabric. They were identity.
Then 2020 Happened.
The pandemic hit and it hit hard.
Like thousands of small businesses across Detroit and across the country, Just Rep Detroit had to close its doors. The brand went quiet. The website went dark. The drops stopped.
But the spirit didn’t die.
Because that’s the thing about Detroit — this city has been counted out before. More times than anyone can count. And every single time, Detroit has come back. Rebuilt. Risen. Remained.
Les Coleman is a Detroit person. He doesn’t quit.
The Comeback.
April 2026. Just Rep Detroit is back.
Not the same as before — better. Smarter. Built with years of additional experience, a stronger production backbone, and a deep understanding of what this brand means to the people who wore it.
The relaunch brings everything JRD always stood for — quality apparel, authentic Detroit energy, bold design — and adds a full digital product line, expanded collections, and the same community-first mentality that built this brand in the first place.
Every piece is produced right here in Metro Detroit through Print My Ish, our printing operation. When you buy from Just Rep Detroit, you are supporting a Detroit business, Detroit production, and Detroit people.
That has always been the point.

Les Coleman — Founder and Creative Director of Just Rep Detroit — is a Metro Detroit entrepreneur with over 13 years in the business of building brands, designing products, and representing where he comes from.
What We Believe.
Detroit is not a punchline. Detroit is not a comeback story written by someone who left. Detroit is not a brand opportunity for people who didn’t grow up here.
Detroit is home. And home deserves to be repped the right way.
